Journey

A Design System

Projects

Other places this might (eventually) be used

Journey is intended to unify the design of a number of design-related projects I’ve worked on over the years. My hope is that it will not only help me to design them more consistently, but also speed up development by having many of the basic design elements pre-built and ready to go.

Active(ish) #

I intend to bring the following projects to active development alongside the updated design system. They will likely be done one at a time, though I reserve the right to swap back and forth depending on the amount of work and time it takes.

The UXcellence logo - a purple U-shaped shield with a blue X in the center from crossed lines.

UXcellence

UXcellence is a blog on UX design, front-end development, building products, and making the web a better place for people to create and connect.

The ColorBot logo - a semi-transparent smiling robotic face over a purple to blue gradient.

ColorBot

ColorBot is your personal color assistant: a Swiss army knife for converting colors, creating great color palettes, and getting accessible color names.

The UX Tool Belt logo - a work belt with pens, sharpies, rulers, and sticky notes and the UXcellence logo as a belt buckle.

The UX Tool Belt

The UX Tool Belt is a handy tool for learning about UX techniques and mapping out your design process.

The User Stories logo - a yellow sticky note, slightly askew, with illegible scribbles on it and the bottom right corner curling up.

The User Stories

The User Stories is a web comic about product design, front end development, and all the silliness that can happen when making things for people.

Retired(ish) #

I’m more active on Figma for design work at the moment and converting the UX Compendium over to Figma from Sketch would be a pretty massive undertaking. I also have no idea how much work would be required to even update the files for newer versions of Sketch right now. As much as I’d love to have it be useful again, this project may be on the back burner for a bit.

The UX Compendium logo - A purple book opened wide horizontally with the cover facing the viewer and pages slightly spread.

The UX Compendium

The UX Compendium is a cohesive collection of Sketch templates and libraries to round out your design process beyond the user interface.
